- Digital interface eliminates need to calibrate the base unit — only probes calibrated, reducing downtime.
- Wide selection of isotropic field probes for both electric (E) and magnetic (H) fields, covering from DC/low-frequency up to mmWave/high-frequency bands — versatile for many applications.
- Automatic detection and identification of probes when connected — simplifies setup and prevents configuration errors.
- Temperature sensor and compensation mechanism within probes — ensures stable and accurate measurements across temperature variations.
- Self-test functionality to check probe health and detect sensor malfunctions before measurement — improves reliability.
- Automatic offset correction — no need for manual “zeroing”, enables quick deployment.
- Support for long-distance or high-field-strength environments via optical probe repeater — safe for high-power RF testing or hazardous zones.
- Compatibility with legacy probe lines (via converter) — ensures investment in older probes remains usable.
- Modular and flexible — you can choose the probe best suited for the frequency range or field type of interest.
- Suitable for both broadband and frequency-selective measurements (depending on probe) — supports compliance testing, safety checks, EMI/EMC audits, environmental monitoring, industrial/radio installations.
FieldMan - Probes and accessories
EMF - Broadband measuring devices
A wide range of isotropic field probes are available for the FieldMan. All of them transmit their information and measurement data to the FieldMan as a digital signal, either via an electrical USB interface or via an optical COM interface. Existing NBM probes can also be used with the A/D Probe Converter and the Digital Broadband Probe Repeater.
