Active Monopole Antenna
The AM-741R is an active monopole antenna operating from 9 kHz to 30 MHz (usable up to 60 MHz). It features a removable telescoping rod adjustable from approximately 23 to 105 cm, meeting standard rod height requirements. The antenna includes a high-impedance matching network with 50 Ω output and a low-noise preamplifier, improving measurement sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio. The preamplifier is powered by an internal rechargeable 6 VDC NiMH battery or an external power adapter. Status indicators on the front panel show RF ON/OFF, power, low battery, amplifier saturation, and charging status. The matching network is mounted beneath a 60.5 cm square polished aluminum counterpoise.
