TBMDA1

Modulated Wideband Driver Amplifier

The Tekbox TBMDA1 is a modulated wideband driver amplifier designed to act as an inexpensive signal source for immunity testing of electronic circuits and products. It is intended to be driven by the tracking generator output of a spectrum analyzer and provides significant gain to boost low-power RF signals to usable test levels. With its built-in modulation features, it can generate CW, AM, and PM test signals for a wide range of EMC and RF testing applications.

Features

Key capabilities and advantages

  • Wideband RF amplification for test signal boosting.
  • Continuous Wave (CW) — no modulation.
  • 1 kHz, 80 % AM modulation.
  • 1 kHz, 50 % duty cycle pulse modulation.
  • 217 Hz, 12.5 % duty cycle pulse modulation to simulate mobile phone TDMA noise.
  • Designed to interface with spectrum analyzers and tracking generators.
  • Ideal to drive Tekbox near-field probes or TEM cells for EMC immunity testing.
