The Kannad 406 AF ELT transmits through 3 frequency (121.5/243/406MHz), designed to be installed near the tail and to be connected to an outside antenna. A sophisticated “shock sensor” will activate the Kannad 406 AF automatically in the event of an impact.

  • Battery : Lithium manganese battery that lasts for six years
  • Antenna : Rod or blade antenna available separately
  • Frequencies : 121.5, 243, and 406 MHz
  • Activation : Water switch sensor automatically activates the ELT when it comes into contact with water
  • Indicators : Audible and visual activation indicators, including a buzzer and LED
  • Self-test : Integrated self-test facility with a visual indicator for results
